This project is still in progress and involves the remediation of a former industrial site. It will be completed within a challenging timeframe and on a spatially restricted area. Our contribution will centre on the completion of all works to bring this project out of the ground.
Our contribution to the most prestigious project in Manchester in 2010 was the mass excavation and disposal of some 50,000m3 of alluvial deposits which was completed in traffic sensitive and built up city centre location without disruption. We have further minimised environmental impact by re-engineering materials on-site use and for export of materials to other schemes.
The former site use was the NEC engineering works, the developable site area equated to 160 acres and was remediated in line with the environmental remediation strategy that had been developed in order to redevelop the site for its proposed end use being a TESCO distribution centre.
